Gear ratio
Bigger tires act like taller gears: the engine turns slower and the truck feels weaker. See the effective ratio and what to regear to.
Regearing after a tire change
To restore the original feel, multiply your axle ratio by the new tire diameter and divide by the old one. Going from 31.6 in to 35 in on 3.73 gears calls for about 4.13, so 4.10 is the usual choice.
